We’ve got some great material planned for our 35th Socratic style meetup! During the first half of the event, we will do a deep dive into the Bitcoin Github repository and investigate open pull requests slated for the next major release of Bitcoin Core, .10, followed by discussion of weekly mining statistics. We will also spend time going through the recent Stellar fork, major changes to alternative implementations of the Bitcoin protocol and other exciting developments in the cryptocurrency space.
The second half of the event will be dedicated to Adam Krellenstein, founder of Counterparty (http://counterparty.io), a peer-to-peer financial platform and distributed, open source Internet protocol built on top of the Bitcoin blockchain and network. Adam will update us on recent changes to the protocol and demo the new feature set!
